Our Safaris Chimp Tracking Safaris
Chimpanzee tracking: Besides Gorilla tracking, there is also
Chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzees are smaller in size compared to gorillas but with much more brain power. They are the closest to human beings, and often times they are referred to as man’s cousins. In their natural habitats, Chimpanzee tracking is very vibrant as you will hardly see them in one place. These primates try as much as they can to impress their visitors by jumping from tree to tree in excitement. You will notice that Chimpanzees equally have emotions, as you will watch them caring for their younger and loved ones, as well as playing with each other – it’s such an experience worth not missing!
Just like Gorilla tracking, you need to be physically fit, contact us in advance to book your Chimp tracking permit.
Chimpanzee Tracking is currently done in Kibale Forest National Park, Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, in Budogo Forest in Murchison Falls National Park. What is more interesting is the fact that you could be able to view lots of wildlife as you track. You stand a chance to see different types of monkeys, butterfly species, several bird species, and reptiles as well.
Chimpanzee Habituation Experience: This is more rewarding than chimpanzee tracking because you get a chance to spend the whole day with the chimpanzees. You use this chance to observe the chimpanzees from the time they wake up from their nests, to the time they go to rest, you can imagine the experience! This is done in Budongo Forest (Murchison Falls National Park) & Kibale Forest National Park.
